Time flies by…
So if you have been paying attention you would have figured out how habitually late I am all the time and not good with the deadlines, so that would explain the lack of updates around here! If not, everything is fine…
We’ve been busy here at the Jared McCloud, I have had the pleasure of putting together an AMAZING band and shows have been steadily building. A HUGE thank you to everyone involved at the Tom Waits tribute the other night- I had a blast paying tribute to one of my heroes and damn there was some talent in that room. There are more dates upcoming, and hopefully getting back on the road soon.
I plan on doing some “end-of-the-year” wrap up (like everyone else) to cap off the year, but I just wanted to put something up and say how much I love and respect all of you, and am grateful for the continued support- it means the world.
yours, in song

IT’S RELEASE DAY!
It’s finally here… 10+ years, countless rewrites and demos, meetings, rehearsals, and finally- it’s here. I am super proud to put this record out, and hope that you all dig it.
I’d like to take a second to say thank you to a few people: to my wife and family, thank you for always being there for me. My small group of friends that kept pushing me to play more, thank you. Jayson Whitmore aka “Wonderbread”, thank you for being the catalyst of all this and a great friend. Kevin Bowe, thank you of taking the time and putting in all those hours to make this with me- you were the missing piece of this record.
So now, we celebrate! I am a very lucky guy to have a KICK ASS band for the release show tomorrow night- Pete, Atom and Cole, you guys are monster players and its an honor to play with ya. Also, HebbaJebba is opening the show and I can’t wait to see them kill it! I hope to see all of you at 331 tomorrow night.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to all the people that have asked about new music over the past few years. That shared old tunes and videos, that came to the few shows I managed to do. Its been a long weird time and I found myself again, and honestly you guys had a lot to do with that. I appreciate it more than you know.
So old friends and new, pour yourself a tall glass of whatever you prefer, grab the new record and turn it the fuck up. I love you all, see you soon

V A C A N C Y
As you may have heard from the socials, on Sept 6th, my new record will officially be out wherever you buy/listen/steal music. That will be 10 years and change (or more accurately 3,673 days since my last record. It’s something I wasn’t sure would ever happen again- but honestly something that kept me going as well. Because there wasn’t a deadline, or anyone really waiting on its completion to turn around and sell, I was afforded the opportunity to write, and rewrite, and throw away, and rewrite again these songs- making them the most honest and best they could be. I found the guy that I knew within seconds of talking to him that he was the one to flesh these out and turn them from a collection of ideas and journal entries into a record. Together, Kevin Bowe and I made what I think is a great record. It’s a testament to the last decade- All the good, but the bad as well. I’ve learned. I’ve changed, and I found myself again. I found what it means to love, and to be loved. To be at the absolute bottom, and to get up. It’s all in this record, and dammit you can dance to it. Thank you all for waiting, thank you all for even wanting to hear it, thank you all for caring. It meant the world whenever I would get a message from someone asking for new music, I can’t wait to hear what you think. September 6th, Vacancy.
See you all real soon. Yours.
